Stability ball

A stability or exercise ball is a ball constructed of soft elastic and filled with air until firm.

Most stability balls range from a diameter of approximately 35 to 85 centimeters (14 to 34 inches).

The stability ball is most often used during core (abdominal, lower back) strength exercises.

Medicine ball

A medicine ball (also known as an exercise ball, med ball, or fitness ball) is a weighted ball roughly the diameter of the shoulders (approx. 14 inches).

Medicine balls come in a variety of weights from 2lbs. to 30lbs. and can be made of hard plastic, dense rubber or synthetic leather material.

The medicine ball is one of the oldest strength and conditioning tools and is used in a variety of exercises to improve explosive power and increase strength.

The medicine ball is also used quite extensively for core conditioning.

Kettlebell

The kettlebell is a cast-iron weight resembling a cannonball with a handle used to perform ballistic exercises that combine cardiovascular, strength and flexibility training.

Sizes may range from 4 pounds (1.8 kg) to 175 pounds (79 kg).

Kettlebell exercises build strength and endurance, particularly in the lower back, legs, shoulders and core and also increase grip strength.

The basic movements, such as the swing, snatch, and the clean and jerk, engage the entire body at once, and in a way that mimics real world activities such as shoveling or farm work.

Workout Challenge #1: Circuit training

This is a beginners bodyweight strength exercise routine to work the legs, featuring body weight squats and forward lunges .

Perform each exercise in this circuit one after another with 1min/rest between sets

Exercises: body weight squats, lunges,

Bodyweight squats: 3-5 sets, 10-12 reps, 1min/rest

Forward Lunges: 3-5 sets, 10-12 reps, 1min/rest

Exercise Description:
Standard Pushup

Classification:
Chest (bodyweight)

Instructions:
1. Lie face down on the floor with hands palm down, fingers pointing straight ahead, and aligned at the nipple line.

2. Place hands slightly wider than shoulder width, and feet should be at hip width with toes on floor.

3. Start position: Extend the elbows and raise the body off the floor.

4. Lower your entire body (legs, hips, trunk, and head) 4-8 inches from the floor.

5. Return to the start position by extending at the elbows and pushing the body up.

6. Remember to keep the head and trunk stabilized in a neutral position by isometrically contracting the abdominal and back muscles. Never fully lock out the elbows at the start position and avoid hyperextension of the low back.
